Who we are right for — and who should go elsewhere

Most manufacturing websites say they can do everything. That is not useful to you: if a supplier claims to fit every project, you have no way to tell whether they fit yours.

So here is the honest version. The right-hand column loses us enquiries on purpose — and the projects in the left-hand column are the ones where we are genuinely the better choice.

We are a strong fit if…

You will get a better result elsewhere if…

You need automotive- or medical-grade assembly (IATF 16949 / ISO 13485) but only a small number of units.

You need millions of assembled units at the lowest possible unit price. A high-volume EMS will beat us on pure scale.

You need bare boards or FPC — rigid, flexible or rigid-flex, 1 to 32 layers — or the assembled board. No minimum order, from 1 piece; bare-board and FPC runs go up to 500,000.

You need board fabrication in the millions, and nothing else from us. A shop that does boards and nothing else will usually beat us on price at that scale.

You want component sourcing, assembly, testing and enclosure handled under one roof by one team.

You need manufacturing inside your own country for ITAR, defence or local-content rules. Only a domestic supplier can do that.

You need a fast answer — we reply in 2 hours, quote within 24, and expedite prototypes inside 24 hours.

You need volume production inside 24 hours. We expedite prototypes, not production runs — a domestic quick-turn shop will be faster on a production order.

You have an obsolete or discontinued component and need a qualified replacement sourced.

You need the lowest unit price in the market, with nothing budgeted for engineering review, test reports or one party accountable for defects. We will not strip those out to win on price.

You are buying from Europe, the Americas or Asia and want an English-speaking contact who stays with your project from quote to delivery.

You need a supplier who works in your own language and time zone as standard. We are an English-speaking export desk in Shenzhen, GMT+8.

Why we publish this page

Because it saves us both time. If you send an enquiry that belongs in the right-hand column, we will tell you so — and point you toward the kind of supplier who fits better. If you are in the left-hand column, we want your files.

There is a commercial reason too. A supplier who says "yes" to everything tells you nothing about where their strength actually is. A supplier who tells you where they are weak is one you can believe when they tell you where they are strong.

What kind of project is Hongrong right for?

Automotive and medical work qualifies because the partner plants behind it hold IATF 16949 and ISO 13485, and the order still starts at one piece.

When is a different supplier the better answer?

When you need millions of assembled units at the lowest unit price, when you need board fabrication in the millions and nothing else, when you need manufacturing inside your own country for ITAR, defence or local-content rules, or when you need a production order inside 24 hours. Each of those is a real reason to go elsewhere, and this page says so.
